I have this dilemma. I've noticed people adding my submissions to their favorites. The first few times it was very flattering. I mean wow people actually like my work. Now it's starting to get to my nerves.

Due to the limited security in DA. I mean c'mon, Creative Commons License? People can still easily download the pictures. With just a few mouse clicks and your work is stolen.

I've even seen blogs and forum sites recommending DA as a source for great wallpapers! So now we're being reduced from photographers/artists to wallpaper illustrators.

My concern is. I'm very thankful to people who like my work. But if your just conveniently adding them to your favorites because you can't muster a few words to share what you liked about the pictures. And I'm not speaking for myself here. I'm speaking for everybody. They're not just pictures captured in a frame, they're works of art, that people worked hard for to shoot and upload.

Sure people would say, "if you don't want people to get your pics, don't post them."
If you're thinking of saying it, please don't be a smart ass! People post these artworks so they can share it with others, the least you could give back to them is a simple remark or a comment.

What I'm saying is if you like the picture at least say something nice about it like "Nice". And since I already suggested the word please use something else other than "Nice." Be creative. You're all artists and creativity is what you're bloody darn good at. If not, then at least we've discovered where to find the posers!
